Toddler Moms -- another food question!!

How many meals/snacks does your DC have each day?

I got my 20-month update in my e-mail last night, and they said at this age 3 meals and 3 hearty snacks...

Emily eats 3 meals and does eat OK her HER at them. I've seen other kids eat WAY more but she's for the most part consistent in how much she will eat.

But she doesn't snack SO much. A few ritz crackers, or a cookie at grandads's house. Maybe some italian ice or ice cream that she shares with me or daddy, or some nights a bowl of strawberries or grapes while she takes the nebulizer before bed....

Certainly not 3 "hearty snacks" ...

kevin is 28 months.

He eats 3 main - pretty hearty meals a day. Heis a real good eater.

Snacks - more like 2 and not really hearty - depends on what time he gets up and what time he naps. Usually mid morning - he is cruising for food but more like goldfish, pretzel, dry cereal or something like that. Usually between lunch and dinner he has another snack. Sometimes it is fruit or yogurt or applesauce - sometimes it is more picky stuff - rice cakes, cookies, goldfish. With lunch if he eats well he gets a treat snack and after dinner if he eats he gets an ice pop - but not sure that counts.

If it was up to Alex she would snack all day and foregoe all of her meals. She eats like a monster. After breakfast, she has a bowl of cheerios, and sometimes half a piece of Matza, or a banana. Then she'll have ANOTHER snack before lunchtime. Another snack when she wakes up from naptime, and another before dinner.

Her snacks usually consist of matza, fruit, fig newtons, cheerios, or goldfish.

Katherine hardly snacks. If we're at a party, she likes some chips, etc. but that's about it.

In fact, I tried to give her 2 Trefoil cookies yesterday...she didn't want any part of them! She doesn't even drink juice. Basically, she "snacks" on milk.
