Toddler moms (27ish months) what time is nap time?

Lately when I put DS (27 months) down for a nap, he plays in his crib for 20-50 minutes before finally falling asleep. Grrrr. I put him down at 1, falls asleep around 1:30 and he sleeps until I wake him which is about 3-3:30.

I try to let him sleep 2 hours and so wake him about 3:30 otherwise I can't imagine him going to bed at a normal time.

I tried putting him down later once and he still stayed in there for 30 minutes playing.

He fell asleep close to 2 today

He wakes at 7:30ish, does a 1PM nap sound like it's too early? How long does your DC nap and what time is bed time?

Loey has been wacky with his naps! He has been taking forever to fall asleep.

We put him in at 12:30 and sometimes he doesn't fall asleep until 2:00. He will then sleep until 5 usually. He still goes to bed fine at 8:30.

I never change bedtime based on naps.

sounds fine.. john naps at 12:00-2:00 or 2:30

bedtime at 8:00

he seems to needs more wind down time.. what are you ding before naptime? maybe wind him down before you put him in.. we always watch one of his shows before nap or bedtime.

DS goes in for a nap anywhere between 12:30 and 1PM. I usually pat his back for a nap and doesn't take too long for him to go to sleep.
If we're out he'll fall asleep in the stroller or car. Sometimes not as long and the end results aren't as good when he gets up.

He goes to daycare and they pat his back there.
I don't pat his back at night and DS does the same thing when falling asleep. It could take no time if he's really tired and other times it's taken him almost 1 - 2 hours
He eventually falls asleep and still gets up early no matter what

DS is younger (22 months) and wakes later than your DS.

He naps usually around 3pm or 4pm. Sometimes even a bit later! And I never ever wake him, lol! He usually naps 1.5-2 hours, but has gone as long as 3 hours on a few ocassions.

daycare he naps from 12(:30) to 2(:30). at home i can put him down at 11 and he'll go down. but usually no later than 12.

DS gets up for the morning between 6 and 7 (usually closer to 6 though).

He naps for 2hrs usually starting between 12 and 12:30.

He's been going to bed between 8:30 and 9.

He's 24 1/2 months.

DS is 26 months and goes down for a nap between 2-4pm... The earlier he goes down the longer he gets to sleep..Usually 3 hours... He goes to bed late. Has been on that schedule since the summer.. 10pm or so.. But he sleeps 10-12 hours.. Which is good for me! I do work until very late.... I don't let him sleep past 6pm.. Or he has a hard time going down for the night... He is usually pretty tired so going to bed is not a problem most days..

DS and DD are 26 months. They wake up about 7:30, nap from 1:30-4-4:30ish (don't usually fall asleep til closer to 2) and go to bed fro the night by 7:30

DS gets up anywhere from 6:30- 7:30

Nap starts anywhere from 1-2 (lasting 1 to 2 hours).

Bedtimes anywhere from 7:30- 8:30.

both my kids (3) and (22 mths) are up about 8ish
nap 1:30 - 4ish
bed: 8:30

Nap time immediately follows lunch at home on the weekend (just like at daycare during the week).

So usually between 11:30-12, lasts 2-3 hours and she falls asleep right away.

Ann just turned 2.5 on New Year's Day. She wakes up by 6:30AM/7 days a week and she is in bed by 8:30PM.


ETA: She is in a toddler bed.

DD is 26 mo and goes down for a nap between noon and 1.

That sounds great!

DD is 28 months and we don't nap her on the weekends anymore since we're usually out doing stuff. It's such a fight if we're home, so we don't bother. But if we're in the car and it's later than 2pm she will fall asleep and we can transfer her to her crib, she'll sleep for sometimes 3 hours still so I know she needs it!

She's up at 8:30am on the weekends and will go to bed an hour earlier when she doesn't nap.

She does nap 5 days a week at daycare for 1.5 hours from about 1-2:30. She's up at 7:20am on those days and in bed at 8p.

I think 26 mo DS is getting his 2 yr molars because since the holidays his sleep schedule has been all messed up. Normally he would go to sleep at 7:30 (sharp) wake between 7-7:30 and nap from about 12:30-2:30. Now it is a fight to get him to bed at 7:30 (although the past few nights have gotten better), he has been waking up through the night and for good at 5am and then napping at 11:30 for only an hour. I was able to put him down at 7pm last night and he still woke at 5am. I am so sleep deprived and feel like I have a newborn

DS naps 11-2 usually. on weekends if we are running around its more like 1-4 and then he stays up later. he wakes up between 6-7am.

DS wakes by 6:30 a.m. seven days a week.

Naps at 2:00. Usually sleeps 2-3 hours.

He goes to bed around 9 p.m.

The later/longer he naps for, the later he goes to bed at night. It's usually 4 hours after he wakes from his afternoon nap. If I attempt to put him down sooner than 4 hours, he's not ready and fights us.

He naps every single day. On the RARE occasion he doesn't nap due to a birthday party or some other event, we pay for it at night and he's ready for bed a lot earlier.

DD is 28 months. She's been a twin since she was 8 months old.

Since about 25-26 months old naps are basically non-existing.

There are days she will nap, but I would never force a nap on a child, that's just me.

When she was consistently napping 18-24 months she would nap between 1-3pm, sometimes later sometimes earlier.

She wakes between 6-7:30am and goes to bed between 8-9pm with or without a nap.

DS (24mo) will be put down for a nap at 11:30-12 and will take about 30 to 45mins to fall asleep. He'll wake about 1.5 to 2hrs after he falls asleep.
He wakes at 6-6:30 M-F and will go to bed 7:30-8pm M-F. On the weekends he wakes around 7-7:30am and will go to bed around the same time. Naps don't alter much during the week.

JJ naps from 12-2 maybe 230. He us in bed tor 8. Even if for some reason he goes down later for a nap, he is still in bed for 8,

DD is a few months older but she wakes around 6AM, naps at around 12:30-2:30/3:00 and goes into bed at 8:30 (asleep by 9:00).

Weekends and school vacations - up around 7:30, nap (when he decides to take one) from around 1:30 to 3:30, bedtime at 8.

Weekdays - up at 6:15, nap at 12 until 1:30, bedtime at 7:15.
