Toddler waking up in the middle of the night
What do you do when your toddler cries for you in the middle of the night? Do you let him/her cry? Do you take him/her to your bed? Just curious as to what others do.

i try to judge the cry and usually wait 5 minutes before going in-there are many times i have heard DS cry out but it's usually just in his sleep and it's nothing. i can usually tell just from the monitor that it's nothing urgent. however, i know when the cry is genuine and there is something bothering him. then i don't wait and take care of whatever it is.
i never take my kids into my bed..it's not for me and DH. i don't want to start a habit and i could guarantee if i did that my kids would be up every night looking to come in. i would never sleep. i did that to my parents and made them miserable when i was a kid  they should have never started
