out of the bottom... because we have a man toilet( the toilet is sooo close to the wall, and the holder is not that far from the handle).. so if I put it over then id run the risk of it touching the handle when you pull paper out...

Bottom. Whenever it's on the top (once every 2 months or so), you'll know that DH actually changed the roll.

I like it coming out the bottom and DH does whatever--it drives me INSANE! I always flip it the "right" way.  Maybe one day he'll get the hint.

Either way it really does not bother me. I tend to put it on the bottom and DH tends to put it on the top. But I dont change it. Now when the TP is empty my dh always takes the roll and puts it on top of the toliet bowl brush holder. He knows this gets to me. So now i find them all over the place. He thinks its funny.

Bottom - it rips easier that way. With a 5 & 7 year old, I don't need out toliet clogged.
I know people that are OCD about the top. The first time I heard people cared was Oprah's interview with Jennifer Aniston. She admitted she's OCD about the top & will switch someone's if they do it wrong. The fact that someone put it on the bottom on purpose never occurred to her because it didn't make sense. I remember laughing & thinking "The TOP? The bottom is the right way."

Well we don't really have a roll holder in a reasonable vicinity without pulling a muscle (I would really love to meet the engineers of this building), but when I did have a roll holder, it had to be top.
I know my friend is a bit OCD about that and prefers bottom, so I purposely change it on her.

I grew up with a mom who insisted that it should always come out on the bottom and now I have a husband who insists it should always be on the top.
I don't care one way or the other!

Honestly i'd take it either way.
Because most of the time the damm toilet paper is sitting on top of the toilet tank and not on the mounted roll.
Why does it sit on top of the toilet tank? Because SOMEBODY is too lazy to put the damm TP on the roll.

Yup.
And the worst part about it is, we don't have a garbage pail in the bathroom. So the "used/empty" rolls of TP never leave the bathroom either unless I take them out myself.
I remember one time I literally saw two empty rolls of TP on the toilet tank, one empty TP roll on the floor behind the toilet, and one new roll of TP on the sink.
ETA: Nothing on the roll on the wall
