If we didn't comment on what they looked like or were wearing what would we talk about???

ITA. What else should we talk about on the celebrity board?? And honestly, I don't *really* care what Suri Cruise wears. I'm just saying I think her dress up outfits and shoes are a little inappropriate to wear on the street, obviously this is only in my opinion.
And to the pp - your DD might *want* to wear a princess dress to school every day- but do you actually let her? Kids may want to eat candy for dinner every night, that doesn't mean we should let them. That is my point.

Because people aren't commenting on a dress choice, or a haircut, or a bad tan, like most of the Celebrity Board comments...they're judging and commenting on parenting choices. And that's personal. I take offense to it and it bothers me, and I'll be the first to say it.
She's a little girl who loves to play dress up. And she looks adorable doing it. It's not hurting anyone, so who cares?

I don't take offense at all to judgments.
I see a little girl who is obviously the one dressing herself. I'm not a fan of little girls wearing high heels on a regular basis - and she's doing it pretty regularly...but...
A few weeks ago, I wanted to chalk up my daughter's clothes to pre-flu delirium. I spent a precious a long time trying to explain things that match & don't match & why she shouldn't wear a pink tutu with a green & blue sparkled striped shirt to school.
She ended with "I put a lot of thought into it & it means a lot to me."...I let it go....
You pick & choose your battles. Clothes is obviously one they've chosen not to fight. If they let her run in the street or driving with their kid in their lap ala Britney, then I'm sure we'd all be bashing their parenting choice.

I'm sorry....did you just tell me I need to get over it? Who are you to tell me what I need to do?
Someone made a comment about people getting defensive and I tried to explain nicely why it was offensive to me, at least (and I'm guessing others as well).
Just as you are allowed to make your comments about a young girl's saggy boobs, I'm allowed to be offended by those comments. And I'm also allowed to tell you when I'm offended...even on the Celebrity Board.
