Tooth Fairy- How Much $?

So my DD (Kindergarten) hasn't lost any teeth yet, but was talking about how a classmate just got $100 from the Tooth Fairy! WTH?! I hadn't given it much thought, but I was thinking $5 for the first tooth and $1 for each tooth after that? What do u give?

Ummm.....I gave my Daughter $2 for her first tooth and will give $1 for every tooth after. I can't with the 10, 20, 50, 100 from the tooth fairy. I got a quarter when I was a kid. I did want to do $5 for the first tooth but DH put his foot down on that one and I'm kinda glad he did. DS is about to lose his first tooth and he'll get $2 for that.

Tooth Fairy- How Much $?

For our DD's first tooth we gave her $14, only because she had some fascination with $14 and thought that it was the most amount of money in the world. After that she got $1 a tooth.

Re: Tooth Fairy- How Much $?

$5 for the first.
$2 after
HOWEVER DD lost her first top front tooth this week. It was a long fought battle with lot of tears, pain and some blood everytime she ate. I felt like the front one coming out was kind of like a milestone too because it really changed her look. I didn't realize how big the gap would be. Chat Icon
I figured we'd give her 5 for that one.
Lo and behold, we are going to bed and realize we almost forgot to put the money under the pillow. And lo and behold we have no change at all and its 11 pm. So she got a 20. Chat Icon and i thought THAT was nuts.

$100 is crazy town

Re: Tooth Fairy- How Much $?

My eight year old only lost two teeth. The first one came he lost because it came out in the middle night. The second we have $10 to make up for our botching the first one.

If he ever loses his teeth, it will be $1 or $2. I don't get this 20 bucks per tooth. My sister does this, I told my son his tooth fairy is cheap lol.

The first tooth was supposed to be $10 but she lost 2 the same day so we gave her $20. Subsequent teeth will be $1 each.

Re: Tooth Fairy- How Much $?

First tooth we give $100 BUT the tooth fairy leaves a note saying it's only for the first tooth and they must save it. After that it's whatever $1, $5 or the dollar coins you get as change from the mta vending machine. They love those the most.

We gave $10 for the first tooth, but he needed 2 of them pulled so the tooth fairy doubled it for his bravery (he got $20 total). He's gotten $1 per tooth since then...

DD lost two teeth at the same time so we gave her $20. The next tooth she got $10. I think we are going to stick with $10 per tooth.

I give $20 for each first top and bottom front tooth, then $10 each for the main 4. Then after that I might give $5 each.

My oldest will be 6 in May, he has his first loose tooth right now. DH & I were planning on doing $2 for the first, and like 50 cents for the rest. I guess we are super cheap lol.

100 can't be right. I gotta imagine that the kid made a mistake in saying so. Otherwise I'm moving in to their house and knocking out my own teeth lol

We gave our little guy a glittery 10 for his first. Every other tooth is $1

$10 first tooth (tooth fairy wasn't prepared) and $5 after.

ETA: My first grader was complaining about his friend getting $60 but, she had multiple teeth pulled at the same time so it wasn't just for one tooth and it was traumatic (she got $10 per tooth).

We did I think $20 for first tooth and scratch off which my daughter ended up winning on!

Subsequent will be like $1-$5.
