Toys at the ped. office
Do you let your DC play with the toys at their doctors office? I was just wondering because now that ds is a bit older (almost 14 months) whenever we go to his dr. he wants to play with the toys they have in the waiting room. I never let him because I am afraid of germs and I assume that they would be especially germ-y where sick kids are. I always wonder why they even have these. I feel bad not letting ds but I am just skeeved by it. There are always kids playing with the stuff though. Just wondering your opinion & if your dr. has toys as well.

Re: Toys at the ped. office
I tried the whole not letting her play with them b/c they look gross.. I dont think they ever wash those toys.. But its now shell have a fit if I dont let her.. so its not worth the fighting. I try and have a paci around to put in her mouth, that way I know the toys and her hands dont go into her mouth during. Then after done I wash her hands.

Re: Toys at the ped. office
My ped. office has no toys. They have fish tanks though, which are great. If they had toys, I would let her play with them since they have separate rooms for sick and well kids.

I think about that all the time, and honestly, just gave up - so far he has been ok, and the toys are so tempting at the dr's office and all the kids are playing. Poor kid will be going through hell in a few minutes anyway in the office, I always give in!!!

Fish tanks are a good idea! I am afraid DS is going to start driving me crazy to play. I agree, they look so tempting!

I bring his toys, but of course,he wants the other toys.
I don't know why they have them, it makes no sense. He plays with them a bit, though I watch him like a hawk to make sure they aren't going in his mouth and wash his hands after.
