Re: Toys We Hate
Toys that have a lot of small pieces - I feel once they are out of the box they are just lost in the pile of toys.

This freaking hatchimal was cute for about 20 minutes. Now it's the most annoying thing ever.
Ours took forever to hatch...who has time to rub the thing for two hours lol. After it hatched, my daughter hasn't touched it since! Glad I only paid like $45 for it at BJ's! Also glad I don't have to hear it's annoying furby like voice all the time
It took about 45 minutes or so. My 2.5 year old is obsessed with it. She carries it everywhere like its her baby or a pet. She even sleeps with it- turned off of course.

I hate the VTech Go! Go! play sets. We got like 4 different ones for DS's first birthday, and they looked great at first. But then after we set them up, we realized none of them stay together, so DS just pulls the play set apparent, and then the pieces are everywhere. We now have 2 large plastic tubs of all the pieces sitting in a corner. I want to get rid of it, because I don't foresee him ever playing with it. He's not really a sit and nicely play kid, he's more of a lets knock everything over kid.
DS1 got a set for his first birthday and I felt the same as you. I packed it up and put it away. I actually meant to throw it out, but never got around to it. He's almost 4 now and got 2 connecting sets around his 3rd birthday. It is, by far, one of his favorite toys to play with. He loves putting everything together and I'm so glad I kept it! Now, I wish I could keep my 2 year old from destroying it as the older one plays. I'd put it away and try it again when he gets older!

My son is scared of his and won't let me turn it on. He liked it better when it was in the egg.
