Transporting dog from Florida to NY
Does anyone have any recommendations of this? My aunt wants to bring her dog up from Fla to NY, but she is a little too big to fly in the cabin on Southwest. Anyone have any recommendations of another way, a company or someone that offers some kind of service?

I am doing this on Friday but I am driving.
Does SW allow dogs in the cargo area? Some airlines do.

definitely check with the airline... short nose dogs have to fly when the weather is cooler unless the airline has a temperature controlled cargo area... i know Continental does...

Yes and also the airline I looked into (AA) would not allow it above a certain temp outside (and it would have been since its June).

The dog is too big to bring on the plane and she won't fly the dog in cargo. She is trying to figure out another way to bring dog up. The dog weighs about 23 pounds.

she doesnt know anyone that is planning to drive up? We are going to Florida and are driving with our dog (23 pounds)
