travel question for those with DC that will only sleep in their crib...
So we're going to Great Wolf this weekend (I can't remember who did it but thanks again for posting the coupon code)
Anyway, I called them and they're going to put a PNP in the room. Jack will only really sleep in his crib. Even for naps...when we are out with him, he gets really fussy and it will take forever for him to fall asleep in his stroller. Most times we just have to leave and bring him home to his own bed. Any advice on making this a smooth vacay?

DD will only sleep well in her crib..I can never get her to fall asleep in the stroller. However, she does sleep well in a PNP when we go to my mom's house, I guess because it similar surroundings as her crib. I usually bring her blanket that she sleeps with to make her comfy.
Good luck!

thanks Kim. I was thinking that I should bring his blanket from his crib and maybe the aquarium so it seems a bit familiar.

Re: travel question for those with DC that will only sleep in their crib...
DS was the exact same way. I had anxiety last summer when we rented a beach house for the week and I had to bring the pack n play. I was pleasantly surprised. We brought some familiar items - like a blanket, stuffed animal, and his dehumidifier (for the shound). I think the trick was really that we tired him out the first day and he passed out. Do the best your can to make it familiar but besides that DS will end up falling asleep at some point. After the first day of naps and nighttime DC should be okay.
Have a great trip!

Deb, totally bring the aquarium! But, I don't have any advice since when we got to my mom's house in PA, he doesn't sleep in the crib.

Re: travel question for those with DC that will only sleep in their crib...
We just went away for 2 nights and took the PnP with us. I ended up laying down w/ DD on the bed for naps and at night in order to get her to sleep (and then transferred her to the PnP).
It worked well while we were away, but transitioning back to "home routine" is another story.

I would bring everything from his crib...we did that...first time a disaster. Second time we brought a DVD player and put her on her baby einstein dvd on repeat play and she didn't even cry and slept the WHOLE night. We were SO shocked. Good luck - I know how exhausting and stressful it is!
