traveling with a 5 month old.. advice please!
Every year my entire family goes to Las Vegas... As my grandparents get older, it is more important to me to go, as you never know when it may be the last trip....... This year, my DD will be five months old at the time they are going in April... Do you think it is ok for us to go? The concerns I have is the 6 hour plane ride and the time difference... Anyone travel 6 hours or more with a 5 month old and experience any trouble? Please let me know your honest thoughts, b/c I am really torn on this one! Thanks!

When DD was 5 months old we went to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. She was fine and we all had a great time. She adjusted to the time change with no problems, sleeping through the night immediately. We did get her her own seat on the plane and she was put there in her car seat - slept most of the flight and played with us during parts of it too. Just keep a bottle handy at all times, and bring a few toys to entertain her with on the plane.

I traveled with DD when she was 4 months old. The flight was only half of that amount of time but still. You will be fine. I'm sure your DD will nap on the plane ride. My DD was out cold almost the whole time. The plane motion and "white noise" sound of the plane really helps to make them sleep.
