Traveling with an infant and a toddler...

Where does everyone sleep? We are going to Florida to my IL's apartment for a few days and don't know where the kids will sleep! We have 1 PnP for the infant. Should we get another one for the toddler (he is still in a crib at home - he is 2 yo)

Re: Traveling with an infant and a toddler...

Last year, when traveling we used two pack and plays. This summer, when DD#1 was just shy of 3 years old, I bought an inflatable bed for children. The child sleeps in sort of a "well" so that they can't just go rolling out. She was still in a crib at home at that point, but she LOVED that bed! I believe I got it from One Step Ahead.

Re: Traveling with an infant and a toddler...

when we went to Aruba, Ella slept in her own bed (pull out sofa), and Erik was in his carseat and/or our bed.

when we went to SF, Ella was in bed between us, and Erik would start in his car seat and end up in our bed.

When we go to Italy next month, I figure Ella will have her own bed, and Erik will be in a travel crib or with us.

(eta: Ella was already out of her crib, so a bed wasn't a new thing for her)

We are going to Florida next week and Sydney will sleep in a bed and Ethan will be in this foldable crib thing that I found on ebay.External Image crib

We are going the 3rd -10th and if you are traveling after that date you are welcome to borrow it.

Re: Traveling with an infant and a toddler...

Thank you all for your replies. Sleeping with us is not an option! He will think it is just playtime and he is all over the place!

As far as introducing a bed that week, I am not sure how he will be with it when he goes to bed. How do we keep him in there?
