I think you would have to have another adult around to get the toddlers attention. Bubbles would probably help too!

Just keep clicking the button! You'll wind up with a lot of "less than usable" pics, but they make for some humorous pics anyway, so they are often worth keeping.
You really need another adult. I usually have DW hold them up, and she'll count to when she is letting them go, and I'll grab the pic as soon as she is out of frame. If they are semi-cooperating, she'll stand behind me and try to get their attention. Snapping your fingers seems to work well.

candid shots!
maybe something that will keep the older ones attention? a bunch of pumpkins or a pot of mums for her to touch and then the lil one can be laying on a blanket in front or in the carseat with a fall theme tablecloth or something?

I'd like to know also. I told DH that the reason why I can't get good pictures of them together is bc the shutter on my camera is really slow. And that if I had an SLR we'd probably get great pictures.

I thought the same thing and then realized it was the person taking the pictures . I need to learn how to take better pictures. It is difficult though even with DH's help. I like the bubbles idea Calla said. Holiday cards are going to be intresting to say the least this year

Re: Tricks to take pics of a toddler & infant together?
my pics with them together are always a mess, if gianna's not in the mood, poor amelia
Gianna likes to go after my camera when she sees it now, she wants to press the buttons. So all my pics of them together so far are candids.
i am going to try everything! Holiday pics are def going to be interesting this year.

I have an SLR and still have very few pics of them together! It's just so hard! Let me know when someone can figure it out!
