Trouble w/middle of the night feedings
DS is a month old today. His middle of the night feedings have always been 2-3 hrs apart. But the last few nights, hes been falling asleep in the middle of eating during his 3am feeding so he only eats 1 oz and then an hour later is up looking for more food again. Then its the same thing, falls asleep during eating and then is up the next hour, etc, etc, until i finally am so exhausted from all the up and down that we just stay awake at 6am and start the day. I keep everything dark at night to try to get him to differentiate between day and night, i leave just enough light on to do what i need to do with him. Do you think I should be turning on the lights while feeding him to get him to stay awake during eating? But then Im worried he'll have trouble going back to sleep after eating cause he'll be wide awake. What do you suggest?

When my kids were that age I would change their diaper before every feeding. Then I would feed them, swaddle them back up and put them in their bassinet. Since I had twins, I would often feed one, put the other in his bouncy and rock it with my foot and feed the other. They did sleep in their bouncys for a long time so that was easy I would say gently stroke his cheek, tickle his feet etc.

DD does this too. She will be 1 month old tomorrow.
I change her in the middle sometimes. She hates to be changed and screams uncontrollably, but she wakes up.
