Trying to lose 10 lbs and keep it off...

So I really want to lose a solid 10 pounds, maybe 15.

I would be happy with 10 if I could keep it off and tone up. But I need to lose it in less than 4 months for a wedding -- I want to look amazing and feel good about buying myself a really nice dress. I want to feel confident with how I look. And right now my body is a mess. I was def. a stereotype of having a baby and then letting myself go. I was healthy and active through my pregnancy, only gained 30 lbs, lost all the weight fairly quickly when breastfeeding-- then I stopped breastfeeding, but on a solid 10 pounds quickly and just really havent worked out or cared about myself since. I've gotten really pathetic with the excuses.

So I noticed that I lose weight fairly quickly when I cut down my portions and snacking-- I really have to avoid pasta, cheese, bread and junk like cookies and candy. This is hard as those are literally my 5 favorite food groups. Anyway, this has been working. I lost maybe 5 pounds so far (i know i will gain some back, but I'm hoping as long as its constantly curving down it is good). I would love to lose 7 more pounds. I know I need to start doing cardio. I want to try and start with 3 days a week and see if I can make it back to 5 days a week like I used to do.

Any other suggestions? I really just have trouble with making this a lifestyle... like when I have the cravings and the weaknesses or I feel like I'm having enough success, I just end up backpedaling. How do you get over those bad days those bad moments of temptation and excuses?

You should check out if it fits my macros. It's the best life for a person such as yourself. It's a little but of work in the beginning and then it's easy. Basically if you google if it fits my macros you will fond a calculator. It tells yu not only your calories but how much fat, carbs, protein you should eat. This allows you to have a cookie or two. You use my fitness pal and record whatever you eat. As long as you stay within the guidelines presented to you based on the calculator you're good! So if you grab two cookies after lunch, you may not have tons of carbs left for dinner. Therefore, you adjust what you eat a little. It sounds complicated but I promise it isn't. Google it. Others can explain it far better then I can.

I have done pretty much every diet known to man- and unless it is a lifestyle change, you will gain it back. You really do need to change your perception and your life. Without those changes, it just won't work.

With that being said, I am currently on Isagenix and have been for 3 months. In those 3 months I have lost 24 pounds and 44 inches.

I think what's different this type for me is that I got quick results in the beginning that excited me. Literally weight started falling off. My energy picked up unbelievably and I was able to start working out after month 1 and into month 2.

Now I have a really great lifestyle- I'm able to workout daily and still incorporate the products and clean, whole eating into my diet daily.

It's been the only thing so far (and i'm almost 40 and dieting since 17) that has allowed me to be successful...

If you want more info- let me know.. it really isn't a "diet" but a nutritional cleanse that allows your body to release fat.

Another vote for If it fits your macros (IIFYM.) I used IIFYM to lose weight for my wedding and then continued to use that program and ended up doing a figure competition. It's a great method for elite athletes and your average joe that just doesn't want to have to give up all of the foods they love.

The calculator mentioned gives very basic numbers and sometimes need to be tweaked in either direction (more or less food) based on how your body responds.

It is a bit time consuming at first and you really have weigh/track your food but it is the best way to diet and be able to still enjoy all of the foods you love.

If you want help getting started please FM me. I am not selling anything, no charge at all. I am just really passionate about fitness/nutrition and this lifestyle. I hate when people talk about cleanses/shakes/clean eating because you don't have to do that to be fit.
