TTC and yeast infection
So tonight and tomorrow are my best days to TTC but I am starting to get a yeast infection. I went to the store and bought some stonyfield farms yogurt which worked for the afternoon. I am totally susceptible to yest infections. I used to get them all the time, but now I eat tons of yogurt which seems to help. My question is, should we still BD even though Im getting an infection? They say that you shouldn't so that you don't spread it, but I am trying not to skip this month. What do you think?

i would just do it! but,,,, take precautions and make ur hubby eat tons of yogurt and take acidohilius pills! if u really wanna be safe, let him wear a condom and cut the tip out so the sperm can still flow but he won't be totally exposed to the yeast. GL

oh no. That happened to me one month this summer. We stopped trying that month becasue a yeast infection for a man can be real nasty. good luck
I feel for you. That sucks. Did you get the diflucan pill from the dr?

dumb question, but can a yeast infection prevent you from getting pregnant?  And what happens if the man gets it? I've never heard of that before.

This is what I found online
Signs and symptoms of a male yeast infection include a red rash, itching or burning at the tip of your penis or a white flaking rash. Fortunately, most male yeast infections are easily treated with over-the-counter antifungal treatments, such as Monistat.

See if you can take the one day treatment or difulcan.
A lot of sex can cause yeast infections.

Yeah but I know you can't use Diflucan when you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant. DH and I decided to skip last night. I loaded up on yogurt, acidopholous (sp?), and an external cream the doctor gave me last time I had an infection.

Ah I didn't know that. Just be careful, an untreated yeast infection can lead to other problems that you don't want to have to deal with.
The cream your doc gave you was probably for the itching - it won't get rid of the infection.
