Twins fighting and walking question..BTDT
2 Seperate questions, didnt want to post twice.
1st- Sydney is the dominant twin by far and she has a temper, and when anything or anyone gets in her way , she attacks...literally. If she is mad, and Chloe is near her, she will attack her, throw her body on her and start biting and making growling nosies...she does this to us, to the highchair, coffee table...LOL..you get the point.
How do I discipline her? Not really a twin related question, just that Chloe seems to get the brunt off the anger.
I remove her, talk to her in a stern voice, but is there anything else that can be done?
Anyone have a very dominant twin and experience this? She also pulls Chloe's hair, takes her toys etc. ( chloe does the same, but not really on the same scale )
And second...Sydney is also walking...And Chloe is not. Will she catch up? Should I be encouraging her more...as it is, I'm kinda letting her be..I don't see the rush ( they are almost 14 months BTW) ...
TIA

Re: Twins fighting and walking question..BTDT
DD was always more bossy than DS. I kind of let them do their thing, they work it out amongst themselves. The only time I intervene is if there is hiting or biting involved (DS bites). I give them time outs if this happens.
As for walking - DD started at 14 months, and DS started at 15.5 months. I just let them be, and let them do it at their own pace. Now they are both running around all over the place!

Re: Twins fighting and walking question..BTDT
Nicholas is definitely the bully of my two. Not really out of aggression but he just takes whatever he wants, climbs over Christian, pushes him out of the way, etc. Now Christian has started banging his head on the floor when Nicholas takes his toys, so that's fun. I'm not sure how to handle it and would love to hear responses from others.
As far as walking, Christian has been walking for almost two months and Nicholas has taken a few steps but is nowhere close to walking. I'm not doing anything to encourage him, I feel like it will happen when it happens. I thought that they would see each other doing things and start mirroring but that doesn't seem to be the case for walking.
