I agree with this. My MOH and one of our GMs didn't give a gift and we still sent TYs.

Re: TY card advice

Yes. I had close family not even give us an empty card. Still send it and just write thank you for sharing in our special day.

Agreed. We had BP members and family and friends not even give a card. Gee, thanks. Chat Icon

Re: TY card advice

Being in a wedding party is costly and also some what of a gift. Weddings aren't a fund raiser, no one is required to give one. It is frustrating, yes- but it happens to everyone.
Thank him for standing up to support you wedding.

Re: TY card advice

My husband and I were in a wedding approximately 1 1/2 years ago, DH was BM and I was in BP. We bent over backwards for them through the engagement and wedding, DH paid for the bachelor party (out-of-state) and we gave a generous wedding gift in addition. Amost 1 1/2 years later, a baby shower invite has managed to find its way to my house, as well as the baby shower thank-you, but never a wedding thank you card. The bride is fully aware she never sent it, she said it to me,and stated it would be mailed within the week, that was in April 2010, Im still waiting.
Being in a wedding party can be very costly and wth the economy the way it is, I would be flattered that someone would be willing to take on the expense and would feel a thank-you card would be the least I could do to thank them.

Re: TY card advice

I would send a thank you... if you don't send one he will never think about it again how he didn't give you a gift... when he gets it in the mail maybe it will remind him and he will send you one.
Send it and just thank him for being there with you on your special day.
