Tylenol/motrin dosage
What do I do if DS meets the requirements for the next dosage for weight but not age?

He was 22lb 11 oz. I ask this b/c he had a 100.1 at 7:45 and I gave him tylenol and at 9:30 it was still 100.1 so it did nothing.

We just went through this too! Tylenol never lowers my sons fevers. I would use motrin...it brought it down in 30 minutes.
When my son was that weight I gave him 1.875 dosage.

ok that is what I have been giving him. I know the tylenol never does anything but they say to alternate. Now he just went down for a nap so I will have to wait until he wakes up. 100.1 isnt considered a fever right? It's anything over 100.4?

Ahhh gotcha. Sorry didn't realize you alternated. 100.1 is not bad at all. A low fever, but not bad.
When he wakes up give the motrin even if the fever is down to 99 or so. It'll keep it from spiking up. Hope he feels better

Thanks That is what I plan on doing. Today is my shower and he is coming with me. It's at my sisters house though so its not like I am dragging him out sick. I just hope he is ok for the gtg tomorrow. I have really been looking forward to it.

You do go by weight and my son's fevers always react better to Motrin as well.
