We have Direct TV. So much cheaper and I hate dealing with Cablevision.

We cannot get it b/c we are surrounded on 3 sides by tall trees.Chat Icon

I had satellite in my old apartment & even though we had our issues (reception & storms & such) I tell ya it was worth it to not pay so much.

we have the triple play plan and pay 120 a month for internet, phone, cable and the DVR box... have you looked into that?

but that's only for the first year right? then everything goes up.

we are on our 2nd year... the prices went up but not by that much...

Re: UGH!!!! Cablevision!

I pay about 110 per month now.

We don't get any specialty channels. We'll get HBO back for the sopranos only, and then cancel again. Any other showtime, HBO specials or series we want to see we get on Netflix.

We looked into direct tv, but after you add on all the sports packages that we would need to get that Cablevision carries 'for free', it was only about 20 dollars cheaper, and that was also an introductory price, bound to go up after the first year..

Re: UGH!!!! Cablevision!

We can't get Verizon Fios TV at our new house but we can do Verizon Fios Internet and Phone and then Direct TV with it for less than $123. I think it comes to $110.

I have the silver package (one box), phone and 2 separate internet connections and pay $186 which I don't think is too bad.
