ulcers and migraines! help!
hi i just got back from my endoscopy where they found 15 ulcers! soooo basically i was told i need to stay away from advil/aspirin and start prilosec.
heres the prob though. i get very very bad migraines and also when i get my af its hellish. tylenol does squat so what can i do? i am an infertilty board memeber so when i am actively ttc i cant take advil anyways but if i dont get pg and get a migraine and or period.... advil is a must or i am literally housebound.
any ideas!? tyyy

Re: ulcers and migraines! help!
I am a migraine sufferer and would highly recommend seeing a Neurologist that specializes in migraine. The treatment plan set up by my Headache specialist has changed my life. As part of my treatment I take magnesium and riboflavin. Unfortunately if you are TTC you will not be able to take any medications besides Tylenol. I do biofeedback training and it really helps. My doctor has a few of her guided meditation sessions on the Maxalt website if you are interested.

Re: ulcers and migraines! help!
i am also a migraine sufferer and have gone through the same thing with over 7 ulcers in the past 2 years - likely due to my "abuse" of NSAIDs.
I have been to 4 different neurologists and finally found one i love. i have been on almost every type of oral daily medicine (topamax, inderol, etc) and accute medicine (imitrex, etc).
the neurologist i see now specializes in botox for migraines and it is the ONLY thing that really works for me. i went from 3-4 migraines per week to 1-2 per month.
unfortunately now i am pregnant and the meds/botox are just too risky.
so now my routine is when i feel a migraine coming on i ice the back of my neck and put vicks on the places it hurts (my migraines start in the back of my neck, which is why botox is so effective for me), i have a little bit of caffeine and hope for the best. with this they usually take a day to go away :(
FM me if you wanna chat more :)
