Ultra scan results and finding out the gender at 12w4d

I had my ultra screen today and I was worried for nothing-everything looked great!

The baby's risk of downs (and the other Trisomy issues) is approximately 1/3000 and that is well below the normal risk for my age

Now for the funny part-she asked if we wanted her to take a peek to see if we could find out the gender. She warned us that it is very early and we can't hold her to it and she won't know for sure until we go for the level II, but did we want to get an educated "guess". Of course we said yes! It's probably a ....

I totally thought girl (and secretly wanted a girl) and I still kind of think girl but it's so exciting. I am definitely going to hunt down an intelligender in the next week and see what that says. I can't wait for the level II though to find out for sure.

Same thing happened to me my last pregnancy. At my 12 wk sono (I was a few days past 12 wks) the Dr. said he thought it was a boy. Turns out he was right as my DS is now 20 months Everyone thought it was too early but, a friend of mine who has two boys said the same thing happened to her at the 12 wk sono twice and they were right both times.
