No meat for 40 days (if I can last that long), plus no sweets (trying to get healthy)....
On a positive side, I get 2 Easters....so I can indulge twice...

maybe if she had ended it with a " " or a " " then we all would've realized it was a tiny joke.
but said like this just makes it seem insensitive, IMO.
this is a big season coming up for Catholics. its not very nice to call the marks "smudges".

sorry, I just felt that I had to defend our faith...
This is a very unusual lent for me, because I don't think I can give up a food, becuase I'm expecting (actually, as it stands now, I've given up every food with an aroma , but that doesn't count!)
My lenten resolutions are two fold:
I have several people in my life who need help becuase they are ill. I normally try to do stuff for them, but I intend to do double time, to make their lives more comfortable... the 2nd is to work through the discomfort I'm experiencing, and try to do much more around the house.... DH has been pulling double time becuase of me, and I feel guilty
