this happend to me before... I had gastroscopy done and was diagnosed with GERD... you really have to be careful with what you eat...

Like the others say I think it may be the thyroid too. The same thing happened to my mom. She felt like something was stuck in her throat. Don't go crazy! As far as the insurance I would call the company directly & have them give you your ID# & Group #. They should cover the visit. Keeping you in my prayers!

I wouldn't worry too much but you should see a doc to get piece of mind.
I had very very similar symptoms before I was diagnosed with reflux.

I get this sometimes and its so annoying it feels like someone is trying to sttrangle me- its actually allergies- I went to he doc a few times but they say it wasnt thyroid related but allergies-

Thanks everyone...I cleared my insurance up today and although I wont have my cards my coverage will be in effect and they will adjust and backdate my coverage for the correct date. YAY!
I am also scheduled to see the ENT specialist on Thursday during my lunch hour. I will keep you all posted as to the out come.

Silent reflux? This is what I have and when I responded to your post the other day I said it sounded like those were the symptoms. Did they put you on any meds?
I am glad you are feeling better. Now you have peace of mind and it is very scary when you have an issue but don't know what it is?
