UPDATE: all puppies were adopted
A co-worker's friend found these 6 black lab mix puppies in the street and can only care for them for another week before he takes them to animal control. I've been to animal control in Manhattan and it is honestly the most depressing place I've been. Apparently, they've called a TON of shelters and no one has room. FM me if you're interested and I will provide contact info.

OH, they are so gorgeous! Have they tried calling a lab rescue? I suggest that b/c the rescue organizations have systems in place to screen potential owners and to care for dogs before a they make their way into forever homes.

I'm not sure if they've tried lab rescue orgs - do they only take purebreds? I think these are lab mixes? I can pass along the suggestion though.

Awwwww, they're so cute!!!! We never saw Kasey when she was that young.

So cute! If they can't find any shelters in the city what about North Shore Animal League? They are in Port Washington which is in Nassau. I'm sure they would go very quickly.
Maybe you could try posting on Petfinders also.

I'm not sure if they've tried lab rescue orgs - do they only take purebreds? I think these are lab mixes? I can pass along the suggestion though.
I think that some rescues only take purebreds. I figured they may have tried that route already anyway.

if our co-op didn't have weight restrictions on dogs i would definitely take one! if only we had sold by now... so adorable; i hope they all go to good homes

I also got this email, it had a contact person on it, i called and on her voicemail she said if your calling about the puppies all 6 were adopted out within 2 hours. So they all have homes :)

Yeah, I still question the validity
I don't know. Mine had the original email attached to it with the person's work email address. I just assumed that we somehow all knew someone who knew someone else
