UPDATE and trying not to freak out....
So last Friday I had posted that my BETA test after my IVF cycle showed a very low HCG #... it was a 7. They had me go back Monday to retest and it went up to 16. They had me go back today and retest and it's at 48, which is still very low. So next step is to go for a sonogram (Monday) to see what is going on... they are not sure....could be ok, or maybe not....could be miscarriage, tubal pregnancy....but they won't know until Monday. Im worried that waiting the weekend may not be good? My nurse said that is the earliest they can get me in, so I'm hoping they know best and wouldn't have me wait until Monday if they were really concerned? She is on call all weekend and said to call her if needed. It's been 2 1/2 weeks since my transfer, so it's still early....but I'll be worried all weekend. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated!

UPDATE and trying not to freak out....
There's no way you can get in over the weekend? My re had weekend monitoring, even on holidays. I don't think they ever closed actually.

Sorry, there are few things worse than beta hell in this process  Whenever they have suspected ectopics with me (I have a history) I was always told that they do the scan to look for fluid, but they can't see the any pregnancy on the ultrasound until the beta is over 1,000. If I were you, I'd try to take some deep, meditative breaths through the weekend and let them scan you on Monday. Unless you have pain--then I'd call the on-call doc and head to the ER. I hope everything works out! Xo

This exactly. If god forbid it is ectopic, with a beta of 48, it most likely won't even be seen on sono and shouldn't cause any issue within just a few days.
I'm sorry this is happening to you. It's a sh!tty
place to be.

Thanks ladies. Planning to treat myself to a little R&R all weekend. I'm in no pain but will call if anything. hopefully if it is ectopic I will find out early, take care of it and move on. I just feel like this cycle is never ending!

Can you have a ectopic pregnancy with IVF since they are putting the embryos right into the uterus?? Just curious.
Sorry you are going through this but try to stay positive. Your beta is still going up!

I had that same question kristen10 and unfortunately the answer is yes.
They always tell you what it could be, but maybe it's not and just slow growing ...but not getting my hopes up.

UPDATE: Had my sono today. My RE saw where he thinks the pregnancy is in my uterus and doesn't see signs of ectopic. He said it's still too early but my beta only went up to 327 so it's most likely not a viable pregnancy and I will lose it. since it's early I'll continue with bloods and sono another week and see if anything progresses. Staying strong!

it went from 48 to 327 in 3 days and he doesnt think that will be viable? thats a great doubling rate! I am hopeful!

Thanks ladies! It's been 3 weeks since my transfer I think by now I should be well into the thousands ... But I'm keeping an open mind. We shall see. Update next week

I think that looks like a progressing pregnancy to me!! Some Drs have a theory that IVF betas are a bit different than normal betas. Stay positive!! You never know how it will turn out so aim for the best. Praying for you!
