**Update, back from doctor **Freaking out... Bleeding ** small update**

I am 10 weeks three days and just had a gush of bright red blood.
No cramping.
I am thinking the worst right now. I am at my Inlaws for dinner and trying not to cry.

***I called the doctors office this morning and spoke to the nurse. She said this is totally normal and to keep a watch on the bleeding. She said since I have no cramping and the blood is now brown and spotty that it was probably a capillary that burst.
I'm annoyed that they won't let me come in.

**update
Just got back from the doctor. Baby looks wonderful!!
It even looked like it was waving saying "hi! Still here!"
They saw a small sub chronic hematoma which probably caused the bleeding. They said not worry. It was very small. I could still see some bleeding. But if it gets heavy or I have cramping then I need to call.
They want me to go back in a week to check thing out again.
Thanks for the prayers everyone! :)

Re: Freaking out... Bleeding

I had that at 9 weeks, went to the Dr. and they saw nothing of concern on the sonogram. I would call tomorrow (or the emergency line tonight but they just told me to monitor it and if it got worse to go to the ER- also drink a lot of fluids and keep your feet up) but do not worry too much right now if it has stopped.

Freaking out... Bleeding

I had this once a week from 5-8 weeks. Nothing ever showed on the sono, and I am 16 weeks now. As long as iit stopped and isn't accompanied by cramping you should be fine.

Call your OB. They may have you go to the hospital for an ultrasound.

Re: Freaking out... Bleeding

i bled through most of my pregnancy...both red and brown...he's 1.5 years old now and he's happy, healthy and smart. Try not to worry. could be from a subchorionic hematoma

ETA: but yes...get a sono...even if u have to go to the hospital just to check it out.

Freaking out... Bleeding

It happened to me at 10 weeks....woke up covered in bright red blood (through my pajamas and onto my sheets). I decided not to call the emergency line bc I didn't want to go to the hospital and was of the mindset that if it was a problem there is nothing the doctor can do. I called as soon as the office opened that morning and they told me to come right in. I had an ultrasound and everything was perfect - I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant
No cramping is a good sign
Def call you dr at some point

Freaking out... Bleeding

Thanks everyone. I am going to call my Ob first thing in the morning. Your stories are giving me hope but until I get to the doctor I'm going to be nervous.
I don't want to go to the ER because if something I happening there is nothing they can do.
I'm trying to relax and I'm laying in bed now. Praying everything is ok.

Hmm... while it's certainly in the realm of "normal" I would insist on being seen, could you ask to speak with a doctor?

Re: Freaking out... Bleeding ** small update**

this happened to me at 11 weeks (twice in one day), totally freaked out. Went to the drs immediately, they found no reason why i should be bleeding and the baby was fine. I would push to let you come in.

I did end up with a blood clot that eventually went away, but the brown spotting lasted for a few weeks.

try not to freak out...i know its hard.

i would definitely push to come in though...

Tell them you want to come in to make sure its nothing serious. My OB said anytime there was blood to come in and get an u/s just to make sure.

I would insist I come in. Anytime I called my dr with a concern he told me to come in. For peace of mind not to mention they didn't want to take any chances (I'm sure also to cover their butt too).

I had pink spotting at 10 weeks and I also freaked out. I didn't even call my doctor, I just went to the office first thing in the morning because I'm high risk to begin with. They gave me a sono and everything was okay. I would absolutely insist on beeing seen. Having peace of mind is everything.

Re: Freaking out... Bleeding ** small update**

I would call back and push to come in or ask them to let you speak to the dr. With both of my pregnancies, especially with my first, I had a lot of spotting and would freak out. Anytime I called, the office let me come in to ease my fears. Be persistent to put yourself at ease!

Freaking out... Bleeding ** small update**

I called back the office. I am going tomorrow morning as soon as they open. I have had random brown spotting all day. And just now when I wiped it was very thick and brown. Still no cramping.
The nurse said it could be residual from last night. I have two options. Go to they ER or go to the office in the morning. Like can't go to the ER because I have no one to watch my DD.
Please send some prayers that everything is ok.
Thank you!

Re: Freaking out... Bleeding ** small update**

Sending good thoughts! I had this happen as well and it lasted from 6weeks - 10 weeks. So scary but for me it was nothing/they never found a source or cause for the bleeding. Sometimes implantation with placental developement (where it burrows into the uterine wall) can cause bleeding at 6-7 weeks.
