Bleeding and kinda freaking out.. ** Updated in OP
I went to work today and had lower back pain (as usual) and noticed a few sharp pains but nothing extremely unusual. I did notice that I felt a little pressure after urinating but again nothing really bad.. then I started bleeding around 4pm and it stopped but now started again.. it was definitely red both times.. so of course I'm nervous. I did go to the dr and see the heartbeat yesterday so I feel kind of comforted but I have to go in again tomorrow to make sure everything is ok.. I'm 8 weeks now. Praying that everything is going to be ok.. please keep me in your thoughts 
** Sorry it took me so long to update, after the appt yesterday I was so relieved and exhausted I pretty much crashed all day long!
The dr said that it was most likely a capillary that burst or it could even have been from the internal sono I had the day before.. bottom line is both babies are doing great and have excellent heartbeats.. Yep, BOTH babies because we found out we're having TWINS!!!  DH and I are sooooo excited (and a little overwhelmed lol) Thanks for the advice and prayers ladies

Did they do an internal yesterday at your exam? If so that can cause bleeding afterwards. Also, how heavy is the bleeding. I've been having spotting for the past week and the OB says its normal. I'm 6w today.

OK chances are you're fine, but I can imagine the stress and panic you're going through. It's good you're going back to your OB tomorrow...you can never be too safe IMO...
One of my friends at 7w pregnant literally started bleeding as if it were AF..and all was fine.
Praying for you, please give us an update!!

I know everyone is differnt BUT this might be a bit comforting...
When i was 7 weeks and 5 days I started to bleed a lot and it didnt stop for days.
I went to the doc the morning after the bleeding started and it turned out the babies were fine but i had developed a blood clot in my uterus and it started to drain. Its very common apparently so who knows it could be something like that.

Thanks everyone for the positive thoughts!!! It was definitely a lot of blood and it continued on and off all night so it was hard to sleep but I can't wait until the dr's appt later and I will keep you guys updated

Good Luck!
I spotted at 8 weeks and was bleeding red at 12 weeks (went to dr and he scooped out a bunch of blood)... then spotted again for about 6 days straight after that.
I'm now 14.5 weeks and so far so good.

That's great news!
But wait - you saw the heartbeat 3 days ago, and there was only one, but when you went back yesterday there were two? How did they miss the second sac the first time? (Just had my first sono and saw the heartbeat so this got me thinking!)

I did see the 2 heartbeats and the 2 babies on Monday but didn't really want to mention it when I was freaking out over the bleeding b/c I was just so nervous.. Thank you
