Re: Color Help
I remember this room before you painted it. I still think you should find a warm tan or beige or cocoa color being very careful to stay away from pink undertones. I also do not like Reds or rusty colors for that reason with that color brick, they often draw out the pink tone. I have a similar pink in my guest room & love it but I can see why its not working in your room. I think a neutral color that compliments those beautiful floors will give you flexibility. You can accent with red & dark brown, or celedon green or blue with your furniture colors....lots of options for easy change while still highlighting the focal points of the room.

I think I am going to go a more tan route - the color on the walls was supposed to be alot more tan, didnt end up that way

Re: Color Help
i love putnam ivory as a warm neutral, roxbury carmel(which is much darker), wilmington tan which can have gold/green tones. I also really love chestertown buff that I see used often. I'm sure you're going to get lots of suggestions!!

Re: Color Help
Kelly you are the best
I am really digging the Roxbury Caramel - that is the shade I had in mind when I picked out the pepto color.

Re: Color Help
see if it comes in the sample size & just paint a block of color right next to the brick so you can look at it in different lights to be sure!!!

Re: Color Help
Ohh...love that Wilmington Tan.
We used BM Springfield Tan in the LR
And BM Yosemite Sand in the den
I also think a sage green would look nice in that room.

Re: Color Help
If you are looking for a tan color I agree with the others and think Wilmington tan or Yosminite Tan would look night. I had Wilimington Tan in our old bedroom and loved it. Now your floors look like Brazilian Cherry and if they are Chestertown Buff would also work really well. It is along the lines of Wilmington Tan but a little more gold. Now I have the same brick color in my home now and I went with Medow View from BM. It is a pea soup green and I love it. It works so well with the orange because they are opposits on the color wheel. Here is a picture and sorry for the mess but you get the idea. Image Attachment(s):

Kelly you are the best
I am really digging the Roxbury Caramel - that is the shade I had in mind when I picked out the pepto color. I have similar colours in my living room (wood floors, red brick fireplace) and we went with a butterscotch colour. I loved that family and it made the darker wood look richer and warmer, and the fireplace really pops.
