I would try to do something like this. I am sentimental about certain things and my engagement and wedding rings are very meaningful to me. I'd have something made from one of the rings.

I would sell the new one. but if your so in love with it I would just keep both.
there is no way I could sell the ring that DH proposed with and I was married in. No way no how.

Does your DH know about the replacement ring? If he does then I would ask him what he wants to do. I would keep the original ring no matter what. I am really sentimental like that. Like a PP mentioned if the rock is the issue I would change the rock from the new ring to the old one.

I would keep the first one and sell the second.
My DH lost his wedding band years ago.
Just this past summer, my MIL found the original. The plan is to have the original resized and sell the 'new" one I had bought him.
The first one has a lot more sentiement.

I agree! make the old engagement diamond into a necklace....Then the diamond will even be closer to your heart! (i would have to use that line) hahaha

Being someone who isn't sentimental, I would sell it and do something that I really wanted with the money.
I'm the opposite, I am very sentimental, I would keep the original one sicne that is the one that DH proposed with.
I might consider selling the second one.

Without a doubt--I would sell the 2nd and keep the 1st. For me, I would never ever in a million years want to sell the ring that my DH picked out, bought with his hard earned money when he was "broke"  and gave me the day he asked me to be his wife. I'm sentimental like that though...I'd much rather show the ring to my children & grandchildren and say "THIS is the one he gave me" vs. "this is the one I got when I thought I lost the 1st one"
