UPDATE- Freaking out-17 weeks and brown discharge

I am 17 weeks, and last night and this morning when I wiped, I had some brown discharge. I haven't had any spotting this whole pregnancy. I am calling the doctor now, but I am worried. Anyone else have this happen?

UPDATE: I called my doctor and he just had me come in for a sonogram. Everything looked good. The baby was moving around, and my cervix was closed. He said it could happen for any number of reasons, overexertion, stretching, polyps, etc. I just need to stay off my feet this weekend.

The baby could just be putting pressure on your cervix...I wouldnt be concerned unless it gets worse or turns red

Also, have you had s*x?

That could be the cause too

I had brown spotting in my first pregnancy at 18 weeks & then again at 18 weeks. It turned out to be nothing & the baby was just fine. It's definately a good idea to let the doctor know, but don't panic!
