Re: Update on us--- Were on our way to the hospital
Hi all- we are home.
My cousin is a nurse there. She just left when we got there. Didn't get the message until she got home. She turned around to come back. I can't tell you how comforting it was to have her there.
Well little man was poke prodded and released.
His fever was 101.6 by the time we got there.
I am proud to say he is 13.6 pounds and 23 inches at 7 weeks. They did the catheter, IV, chest x-ray and blood work up. They had us out in the waiting area. I could hear him crying and screaming and that was awful. But since my cousin is a nurse there they let her stay in the room, so that was comforting to know that little man had family in there with him. Luckily everything came back great and we were able to avoid the spinal tap. The doctor wanted to do it and it was bothering her that my doc said there was no reason. She made me promise to wake him every 3-4 hours and she said she was calling us first thing in the morning. We have to follow up with our ped tomorrow.
Summer, I think it was you that mentioned the 24 CVS in Holbrook-- THANK YOU! I didn't have infants Tylenol in the house yet, because I didn't think he could take it yet, I only had children's so it was great to know exactly where to go.
So hopefully Little Squishy man does ok tonight.
Thank you all again. I never had to do an ER visit with my daughter and I am hoping to never have to do this again.
Re: Update on us--- Were on our way to the hospital--- We are home
His fever is back up I honestly am getting very nervous. My daughter was never sick like this as an infant.
I am trying aspirate him and can't it's just awful.
I can't wait for the ped to open. Between my daughter with the lower resp heading to pneumonia then her coxsakie and now him, May and June have not been great months in this house.
