I know its easier said than done but try not too worry, more often than not the results on this are fine.
My brother had one done 40 years ago, then my second brother came out and he too had a large head, me too...
my niece, nephew and son are all on the larger side as well.
When my son was 2 months the ped said he had a large head she was alittle concerned about his measurements, I told her about my family. And when she plotted it he was 95%tile for everything so he was proportionate and we didn't pursue.

did they measure her head in the same way, either around or front to back as they did while in the NICU. I know one person in which the numbers were different due to the measuring techniques. Hope all is well.

Hang in there. My thoughts are with you. Just be glad that you have a ped. who is proactive, and it will hopefully turn out to be nothing.

I've had 3... yes 3! friends whose babie's have had the same issue. The hardest part for them was that their babies had to be sedated for the MRI/CAT scan.
But, all 3 of them are perfectly fine
I'm sure it's just your baby's big brain

Oh you poor thing!
I have gone through this with both my kids!!
Ryan needed a head CT, because he was older, and Erin needed a head sono at 4 months of age.
Everything came back normal and it was harder on me than the kids! I am sure it will be the same for you. They have to send you just to make sure, but I am sure that everything will be ok with your DD.

I am really sorry you are going through this! I do not have experience with hydrocephaly, but we had a scare that DS might have had spina bifida or an open neural tube early on. It was very scary, though luckily, it turned out to be nothing, just a dimple near his spine.
I do remember holding him and sobbing before our tests though, picturing my poor little baby in a wheelchair as a young boy! My hormones probably didn't help one bit.
So I'm sorry I can't give you any info about this condition, but I kind of understand how you feel, and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

with DD #1 she had a prblem where they thought her skull was fusing together too fast but it turned out she just had a large and funky shaped head !! my prayers are with you
