Vacation suggestions pleaseeeee

I want to plan a much needed vacation for me and my DH this February/March. Any recommendations? Kind of treating it like a second honeymoon :)

Requirements: beach, sun, GOOD food and a nice resort.

I think we would prefer a country/location where the water is safe to drink (if we have to) and we won't be confined to the resort.

But, we are open to anything - I just think the resort would have to be VERY, VERY nice if we had to stay put for a week :)

Thanks!

Aruba! We went there for our honeymoon and it was amazing!!!! We stayed at the RIU which is all-inclusive but there are so many other gorgeous resorts to stay if you didn't want to go the AI route.

We're big fans of cruises leaving out of NY. The first day is chilly b/c its winter, but by the end of day 2 its great. Plus all of your food, entertainment, etc is on board and you don't have to worry about drinking water issues and what not. AND you don't have to deal w/the airport.

Regent Palms in Turks & Caicos. We just got back from our 2nd trip there, and it was heaven! Great resort and beautiful island.

i like aruba - esp if youre going to just relax

if you want a mix of relaxing and adventure - i would say costa rica. there is SO much to do.
zip lining, horseback riding, waterfall rappelling, white water rafting, and of course relaxing at the beach and hot springs

I tell everyone to go to Isla Muejres mexico. Its our favorite place. The hotel we stay at, Privilege Aluxes, filters their water and has bottled water included for you to drink. All the restaurants on the island also filter the water. Its a really cool, chill little island.

Re: Vacation suggestions pleaseeeee

Turks and Caicos has so many nice resorts.

If money were no object, I'd say the Maldives.

YES YES YES. Totally fits the bill on your wants for this vacation! We loved it!

ETA: When we were there 2006, my DH got sick the last day and stayed in bed. So I went and walked around the harbor area to go shopping by myself! I am not sure what other islands I would have felt comfortable doing that!!

I don't know how far you want to go but we went to
Positano, Italy last year and it was truly amazing. We stayed at a hotel set into the cliffs, le Sirenuse. Beaches were a bit rocky but just lounging by the pool with a cocktail gazing at the ocean was perfection. Took a boat trip to Capri, and hired a car one day to tour Pompeii and mt. Vesuvius. We never had a proper honeymoon, but if I did I would have been happy to have it here!

Thanks, Positano is on my 'must see list!' I hear nothing but amazing things. My only reservation is I think that time of year might be too cold...

Live Aqua in Cancun, great food, spa atmosphere and adults only. It's one of the best in Cancun right now. Just stayed there in October.

No you're not! I feel it is totally overrated and overpriced. Plus the beach by our resort was not nice. Have seen better in FL!
