Grenada, St.lucia or Costa Rica. I'm apparently the only person who wasn't a fan of Aruba! [/QUOTE
No you're not! I feel it is totally overrated and overpriced. Plus the beach by our resort was not nice. Have seen better in FL!
I am with you on this too. Will never go back.

Re: Vacation suggestions pleaseeeee
My IL's have a timeshare at the Marriott we go to every year. Love having timeshare with kids. Radisson is another great place. Another hotel in the same area. Everything is within walking distance. Safe island, great food and restaurants to eat at, calm waters, lots of fun things to do during the day or just be lazy and sit on your a$$ all day.
Can't go wrong!

Re: Vacation suggestions pleaseeeee
I will jump on the Aruba bandwagon. I just went last month with DH for his 40th birthday. We went for 4 nights (just the 2 of us, no DS).
It was AMAZING!
We stayed at the Marriott Stellaris Resort and Casino, which I would recommend. The beach was fabulous, there is a large main pool, as well as an adult, quiet pool. Lots of great dining options on site (we went to Simply Fish and ate on the beach one night, which was so enjoyable). We also went off property a couple of nights for dinner, and it was very easy to just get a cab (everything is close).
We had a direct flight down (Jet Blue), so travel was easy. We took an early flight (7 am), but it worked out great because we got there around 11:30 and we were checked into the hotel by 1 (they let us do early check in). So we had most of that first day to hang out by the pool, have lunch/drinks, etc. We didn't feel like we lost a day to travel.
What we loved about it was that the weather was sunny and perfect every day. It is true what they say, those tradewinds make it so comfortable. My DH isn't one who likes to roast in the sun, but he enjoyed sitting out on the beach and staying at the pool because the breezes took away the intensity of the heat.
The dining options were awesome, including fine dining.
We didn't do much, but if we had wanted to, there was plenty we could have done (boat rides, snorkeling trips, all of the usual island vacation activities).

I tell everyone to go to Isla Muejres mexico. Its our favorite place. The hotel we stay at, Privilege Aluxes, filters their water and has bottled water included for you to drink. All the restaurants on the island also filter the water. Its a really cool, chill little island.
I just got back from here last night based on Gina's recommendation. It was AWESOME! One of the most beautiful beaches I've been to. And the island is totally safe... you can rent a golf cart and go wherever you like...really scenic!
