"Side effects" from the vaccine is your own body's reaction. Every person is different, and every reaction is different. If you've had Covid before, your reaction to the vaccine will be worse, since your body knows how to fight it. That's why the 2nd shot has worse reactions. Younger people, with stronger immune systems seems to have worse reactions, since they are better at fighting the virus.
For anyone that was symptomatic with Covid, I personally haven't heard of the symptoms going away after a day or two. With the vaccine, the symptoms almost always go away quickly. I haven't read of anyone losing their sense of smell or taste with the vaccine, but many people do with the virus. The virus is documented to cause physical damage to various organs in some people. The vaccine has not shown any evidence of that. The virus is documented to cause fatigue for weeks or months after getting it. Side effects from the vaccine are well known and documented. Side effects from the virus are not as well known, more varied, potentially much worse, and for much longer periods of time.
Just an FYI, there are places on FB and IG for people to put up their experiences. IG seems to have pulled one for families of people who have died right after getting the vaccine. If you don’t believe this is all hush hush and that there is many side effects from the vaccine then you are drinking the Fauci kool aid.
I guess it should be called the "Fauci, Harvard Medical Center, Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, WHO, and every major medical organization around the entire world kool-aid"
You can call it what you want. Listen to real people who have experienced these side effects or had a love one die.
Why? You don't seem to listen to anyone who has had a loved one die from COVID or been seriously ill from it. You refuse to believe that many, many young and healthy people have died of COVID.
Goes to show you, you don’t really know me and just assume. I also listen to real people not stories in the media that don’t tell you the whole story to increase fear.

How are side effects of the vaccine more well known and documented when it’s only been available to most of the public for about 3-4 months?

Side effects mean nothing in terms of The effectiveness of your immune response.
So why do some have severe side effects and some have none?
I’ve never heard of a vaccine causing people to be bedridden until now. They are being told that’s good?! But now it means nothing?
I’m only asking because of the whole placebo talk on the other page. I find it interesting how there is no rhyme or reason why certain people react the way they do. And it’s like no one knows the answer and they just say “oh that’s good if you have side effects” “oh that’s good if you had no side effects”. Which is it?
1- is it going to change your decision on whether to get the vaccine if you know if side effects from it are good or bad?
2- you trust the opinion of the people on this site over your own research into the vaccine?
What's the actual point of you asking these questions? Most of us aren't medical doctors, we are making the decisions we feel are best. And everyone is entitled to their opinion- if you don't want to get vaccinated- don't! It's YOUR decision.

I know who had died from CoVid. I know no one who has died from the vaccine. I think using FB and IG as diagnostic and/or research tools is ridiculous. Especially when you are aware that social media skews what you see anyway. Because of algorithms, you are going to see more negative on the vaccine then someone that is doing independent research.

1. Sorry I didn’t rush to answer you, I do have a job.
I didn't think I'd have to explain the Scientific Method....
In labs, and tests, and trials, and even real-world vaccinations, they document every step of the process. They know who is getting the shots beforehand, when they are getting the shot, they are monitoring them the entire time, etc, etc. In "the wild", when someone gets Covid, the medical field doesn't know exactly when they got it, how they were feeling when they got it, how many got it, or even if they got it, if they were asymptomatic, etc. That's how they know more about the vaccine than the virus. Much more oversight and observation involved. More information means more well known and more documented.

My entirely family was symptomatic for less than 2 days. I myself was only symptomatic for 12 hours. I know many people with mild cases that lasted less than a day.

Agree!!! Totally!
You're trying to reason with someone who is clueless on every level. You can't use science and facts on a person like that, someone who literally thinks the vaccine is a PLACEBO.
VB is just a big mouth who can't stop screaming from the rooftops how she won't take the vaccine but she doesn't really even know why she won't. She simply doesn't understand one single damn thing about any of it. Dealing with her infinitesimal understanding of COVID and this vaccine is like . She's a waste of space.

Half an answer I’d say considering reporting doesn’t always happen. It hasn’t happened with vaccines before covid and it’s not happening after covid. The reporting system in place where vaccine injuries (adverse reactions) get reported only collect a small amount of the actual number of cases, sometimes because people/doctors don’t know about it or because they don’t know how to report it. Even navigating the system is not easy for the regular person.

True. The effect I heard about yesterday probably will go no where so you wouldn’t even know about it.
