Vacuum Recommendations?
Can someone recommend a good upright vacuum, not looking to spend a fortune. I see the Shark's are good but their are mixed reviews. We currently have a Hoover that's about 7 years old and it needs a belt and ways a TON so looking for something more modern. Plus we now have a Lab so I'm not used to all this extra hair. Looking to spend under $300! Thanks (this board gets more traffic then the home board)

Re: Vacuum Recommendations?
We have the Shark Navigator, and I LOVE it. I previously had both the Dyson all floors and the Dyson Animal. IMO, the Shark is superior. Plus its, cheaper. We have 4 cats and a combination of wood floors + rugs and this vacuum does the job. Image Attachment(s):

I have the same one and also love it. Had it for 2 1/2 years and it still works great. I love how its very light weight and quiet too.

Shark is great! Love it! Except that I find it cumbersome to use the extension wand. The hose isn't long enough. I had a yellow Dyson and it was great at first, but slowly starting losing it's suction!

Re: Vacuum Recommendations?
Just got a miele. I think it is a small fortune, but oh my god I love it. My vacuum before this stopped sucking up anything and I was wrestling with it all the time. Plus this thing is so quiet. I can vacuum the room next to DS while he is sleeping.
