Vaginal Birth
Hi All,
Hope everyone is doing well. I just got back from my 32 week appt with twins, and my dr. told us she is very happy. Both twins are head down and she wants me to try and go with a vaginal birth. She said at 32 weeks the babies wont move anymore. I am excited about the news but just wanted to hear if any other moms had vaginal twin birth and if you could share your experience. Thanks so much!

Re: Vaginal Birth
Thats great news!! My twins were also head down around 32 weeks also. I was told the same thing that the babies would probably stay in place and continued to be head down. They were right! From the start of my pregnancy I was told by my Dr that I was probably going to deliver vaginal. I had a terrific pregnancy.
I did deliver vaginal my girls , honestly because it was my first pregnancy and L&D, I have nothing to compare it to so, I have to say that the L&D wasn't bad at all. My water broke around 4pm on Thursday, no contractions felt, I was admitted to LIJ around 8pm that evening and at that point I wasn't dilated that much at all. During that night and early morning I was having contractions -but nothing that was unbearable.
Friday morning(super early) when I was 3 cm dialated I got the epidural and starting really pushing around 1pm and at 2:10 pm Grace came out weighing 6lbs 80z 20inches. However, at 3:49pm-YES one and half hour later, Lauren came out weighing 5lbs 1oz at 18 inches. I had a hard time pushing out the second baby, but I did it with a lot of room support, prayers and concentration!! The doctor and nurses were great. My L&D room was packed with interns, nurses, medical residents, etc because they said its so rare women deliver twins vaginally.
If I had to do it over, I wouldn't have changed a thing!
Do you know what you are having? What hospital? I didn't find out, and it was so great not knowing- that moment in the room when they scream out what the sex of the babies is a awesome memory!!
Good luck, YOU CAN DO IT!!
Please feel free to fm me.

Re: Vaginal Birth
Thank you so much for getting back to me! I wanted to have a vaginal birth but just worry about complications especially dealing with twins, but I also trust my dr. I too have had a great pregnancy as well. So now we just wait for their arrival. The dr. she wont let me go further then 38 weeks.
We dont know what we are having and cant wait for the suprise. It is so exciting, and all our family and friends are so excited too. We are so happy we didnt find out!
