Very scary day...
I woke up at 6:30 this morning to get ready for work.
I go to the bathroom before I go feed the dog and there is a TON of blood. Red blood. I'm 13w4d.
I wiped again, same thing. I wake up DH we go to the ER.
When I get there, and the Doc examines me, I'm passing large clots. They do an ultrasound to see the baby and then tell me that my doctor has to come because they don't know what the problem is at the hospital.
Long story short, 8 hours later, it seems that the baby is fine, but I'm having heavy cervical bleeding. They don't know why.
So I'm on restricted activity (not bed rest though) and I go back to the doctor on Friday.
The hospital and ER sucked. I was very disappointed in their care. But I'm glad the baby is okay. Still COMPLETELY freaked out though.
Scary scary day for me.

OMG....I'll pray for you that everything is going to be OK!
If you don't mind me asking which hospital were you at. When I m/c'd the first time I had a bad experience as well.

Ohh Lauren I am so sorry!! That must have been so so scary... rest, take it easy, put your FEET UP ( - but I mean it, really) and relax---

I'm so sorry. Just take it easy. I can relate...I went to the hospital on Sunday because I woke up bleeding. Luckily it wasn't a lot and it stopped, but they had me come in to check up on me anyway. I wanted to mention this because I was thrilled with my hospital care as opposed to your disappointment with your care. I don't know what hospital you're affiliated with, but I'm with NSUH. When I called the emergency doctor line for my office because it was a Sunday, she told me when I got to the hospital, to not go to the ER but go to admissions and they'd be waiting for me. I was admitted and taken directly to labor and delivery, and in a bed in like 10min. They did the tests immediately and I waited comfortably in a bed in my own room watching TV while I waited for the lab results to come back. I'm mentioning this because if this continues or happens again (hopefully not!!!), maybe you can talk to your doctor about having something like this happen so you're not stuck in the ER. Good Luck and rest!!!!
