That is SOOO scary- especially at the hospital since they can't tell you anything. My SIL went through this at 18 wks. It was horrible- they could see the baby was ok but they couldn't tell what was wrong and why she was bleeding. She ended up fine.
Oh my goodness, how scary! A close friend of mine experienced this around the same time frame--even slightly later I think. Her son is 3 months old now and very healthy!! I think it turned out the placenta was rubbing against the cervix--all was well in the end...after about 10 days of bedrest.

I was just going to say this-my SIl ended up 9on bed rest for placenta previa with her last baby who is now a healthy 3 yr old. Did your Dr mention this?
This EXACT thing happened to me at 14 weeks...I was terrified. 8 hours in the ER with doctors who were very cold and telling me I was probably experiencing a "spontaneous abortion"..I was devestated. Until the ultrasound showed our little boy bouncing around in there...
He is now 8 weeks old and till this day they don't know why it happened, and there wasn't anymore bleeding the rest of the pregnancy. Just stay rested..I was on bedrest for 2 weeks and i do think it helped..if anything, my mental state was much more relaxed. Best of luck to you in the rest of your pregnancy!!!
