Virginia Beach day trip to Outer Banks,NC?
Does anyone have any recc for a day trip out of the VA beach area to the Outer banks, NC? We just wanted to check out a cool beach and/or lighthouse and maybe stop to walk around and eat somewhere. We will be bringing a 1yo dc!

Virginia Beach day trip to Outer Banks,NC?
if you go down definetly not on a saturday - that is the day most of the houses change over and it takes forever to get in and out
the beaches are very nice - if you go just below cape hattaras the ocean is a little warmer
kitty hawk was a nice town and not too far down
