Virtual slime making birthday party
Would you be interested in this? Im thinking about doing it for my 8 year olds. Sloomoo (the slime museum in NYC) is hosting Zoom bday parties where they will mail your guests a DIY slime kit for the big day, and then everyone logs on and the instructor guides the kids through the process. Their slime is very fun and elaborate - it comes with confetti, sprinkles, glitter etc to mix in. Was thinking of adding to the party by dropping off a wrapped cupcake at our guests’ homes for everyone to enjoy together after singing HBD, and maybe a short Zoom scavenger hunt?
What do you think? Is this a stretch? Or will we all be this desperate for something to do by June? Lol.

Virtual slime making birthday party
I wouldn’t do slime. A lot of people don’t want their kids to make it at home because it’s so messy. I’d make sure that the parents are ok with it before you spend the money.

Virtual slime making birthday party
I think it’s a cool idea since it is an activity they can do together.

Thanks that’s a good point - usually I would agree, but you can actually choose the consistency of the slime and I would choose the putty kind - much less gross than the watery kind. But thanks, it’s def worth reaching out to them first.

Re: Virtual slime making birthday party
My brother took my kids to sloo moo back in Jan and that slime is still fresh and smells great. I don’t know what kind it is but it is less slimes than others if that make sense. It honestly does seem like high quality slime lol.
The party sounds fun. As long as you warn parents but it nice, maybe some kids can do from a deck/patio on a warmer day.

No slime is allowed in my house ever again since the 2018 couch incident.

I hate messes but I'd make an exception for this.

Sounds great! I would do it!! And the parents that don't want a messy counter, have them do it outside. Easy peasy!

Re: Virtual slime making birthday party
i have a brand new kitchen, brand new wood table, brand new flooring, brand new everything pretty much and I'd still allow this. Put some newspaper down and call it a day. Life is too short to be that anal about a little mess. It's not like they are welding in the house or using spray paint.

Seems like a fun idea! I know my girls would be thrilled. I've also seen zoom painting parties offered.

Re: Virtual slime making birthday party
My initial reaction was hell no but why not? Who cares if it's messy. It's not like I'm too busy to clean it up. Its cute and fun and the kids will like it.
