The answer is Acura RDX, if you want to chance on bad luck go with Volkswagon.
VW are hit and miss when it comes to reliability. Trust me I had one. It was top of the line and it busted on me on the third year! Just quit in the middle of the road with traffic. Cop had to put flares and direct traffic around me since car quit in middle lane without warning.
Spare yourself the embarrasement go with Acura. Acura has the better reliability record but you pay for what you get. Acura prices will be higher.
Best to stay away from any VW products....you'll see if you choose the VW. They look nice but thats about it.

I hate all VWs..had bad experiences with 3 of them. I love the RDX..we were thinking about it but it takes premium fuel..
Everyone is sleeping with the oil companies..

I had a VW, not the Touareg.. HATED it!!
I now have an Acura, not the RDX.. LOVE it!!!
I don't know anything about the cars you're choosing between, but I'd take any Acura over any VW anyday!!!

As a VW owner I definitely say Acura. Maintenance and repairs are so $$$$$$$$$ for my car!
