waking up screaming....
For the last 2 days DS has been waking up in the middle of the night 3 or 4 times screaming. I have a hard time calming him down. Then he goes back to sleep. The whole time he has his eyes closed. He also did it this morning with his nap. He doesn't do this during the day when he is awake though. Any ideas?
I was thinking maybe its gas from the rice cereal but why would it only happen when he is sleeping?

Jules has had night terrors since she was really young and I think this may be what he's experiencing. She cries out for no reason in her dreams. She does it mostly after shots or when she is teething.

My son does this too. What do you girls end up doing for tham? I'll usually give in and give him a bottle.

oh wow really I never thought of this. He did have shots and he is teething. He is only 4 1/2 that can have them that young?
Is this something that will go away? I feel really bad for him.

Re: waking up screaming....
Jiavana has been doing this off and on for some time. We brought her to the dr and he said she wasn't teething and that they were night terrors. We usually just hold her if it gets bad till she falls back asleep. Sometimes just putting the pacifer back in her mouth helps, other times she is so out of it.
We don't give a bottle, because we don't want her getting into the habbit of eating at night again.
