Waking up soaked!
At night Jared gets his usual bottle of about 6-7 oz. In the morning he always wakes up soaked! I have to clean his sheets every day because he's going right threw his diapers. His diapers fit him perfectly...he's wearing size 4. What else can I do to stop the leakage?
Anyone else have this problem?

Re: Waking up soaked!
What time does he get his last bottle? How many hours between changings?

Re: Waking up soaked!
I was going to write about this today!!!! Steven takes a bottle right before bed and always wakes up soaked! I bought a large lap pad- the size of the crib- because it is easier to wash everyday than changing sheets!(with removing the bumpers, etc.)
Anyone with suggestions- please help!!

Well..he gets his bottle at 8:30 and wakes up at 9:30, sometimes 10:00.

Re: Waking up soaked!
we were having this problem, so now I change him right before the last feeding (after dinner)and he now wakes up dry.
but maybe also trying a different brand? I've heard that different brands worked differently with different kids.

Re: Waking up soaked!
hmmm that is a long time to go without a changing (although it happens here too). Maybe cut down the number of times you give him liquids leading up to bedtime.
The only thing that has worked for us lately, Jeremy in size 3's, was to reposition the diaper at night so more diaper is in the front.

Re: Waking up soaked!
I never had this problem with my girls, but, when I was taking care of my nephew he used to get a bottle right before bedtime and had the same problem. What worked for me was to double-diaper him. After I put the first diaper on, I would slit the front and then put the second diaper on. He woke up dry from that time on.

Re: Waking up soaked!
I would try the larger size or see if they have overnights. I don't think a 2nd diaper is a good idea only because his tush is still exposed to the wetness in the 1st diaper he leaked through.

Re: Waking up soaked!
Do you think that rubber shorts...that cover the diaper...would be good?

Re: Waking up soaked!
have you tried diaper doublers - it's almost like a maxi pad made to go into a diaper to soak up more liquid.

I've seen disposable ones in BRU. Next to the packages of Gerber cloth diapers.

Re: Waking up soaked!
The rubber pants dont allow air in so he could get a rash.
Sammy woke up soaked for a while - still does. I Check his diaper before I go to sleep and change it if its wet. He never wakes up from being changed either

Re: Waking up soaked!
we had that problem with Andrew too for some time, but when I switched to Huggies Overnights and didn't let him drink 2 hours before he went to sleep, it helped a lot!

Consider putting him in the next size diaper at night too.

Re: Waking up soaked!
We went through this a few weeks ago. I went up a diaper size and we haven't had any leaks.

Re: Waking up soaked!
I agree with going up a size or even trying a different brand. We use Pampers Cruisers and don't have any leaking issues.

Re: Waking up soaked!
I have this problem with James also...what finally worked is changing him again around midnight...he sleeps righ through me changing him. I would much rather do this than have him sleep in a urine soaked bed. DH and I take turns with the late night changing.

Re: Waking up soaked!
That was happening with Jacob so I just bought huggies overnights size 4 ( he is 6.5 months) and I change him right before I put him in the vrib.
So far so good- no leaks for the past 3 days...

Steven's only in size 2 and Overnights start at size 3- should I try it or will it be too big?

We use these on Kevin. They work sometimes but sometimes he still wakes up wet.
We use the Ultimate Crib Sheet. It is so much easier to change than the regular crib sheets.

Re: Waking up soaked!
I would do one size up at night, they weren't that much bigger.
In your case I would do size 3 overnights r if you use huggies try the 3 supremes first..
