was anyone's preschool or daycare open today?
My friend's DD goes to preschool in East Meadow, and they had school. She kept her DD home, and apparently when she called the school they said 80% of the school was absent today. She was convinced they were the only nursery school open in nassau county.

Jacob's preschool was closed. WE go by whatever the Syosset school district does.

My DS was supposed to start his 1st day of pre-school today but they were closed. I called them this morning and the answering machine said they were closed today due to the storm...

usually mine is open..
they pride themselves in thinking of the working parent and not all parents get 'snow days' but oddly enough they were closed today due to the storm.
Ironically it was bad enough I got the green light to work remote from home so it sort of works out *Shrug*

DD's daycare opened with a one hour delay & I sent her in around 11 (after playing in the snow). All the teachers were in. The rarely ever close.

Our daycare was open too but we didn't send DD today. Everyone who works there lives in the same town so it is never an issue of coverage.

The center I used to work for was closed and my nephews center was closed as well.
