washing machine question...do i call for repair?
I just did a size medium wash. was just some bath towels and 1 large bath mat. I think the bath mat is too big to go in my wash even though I've washed it before. Anyway the washer started making this crazy noise so I went to check it...it was moving and shaking like crazy - I had to put all my weight on it to get it to slow down but it still was making a scary noise. So I stopped it and took out the bath mat. It made an awful noise when I started it back up but then I watched and it finished the load - was at the drain and spin cycle so was done in a few minutes. It was shaking like crazy during that cycle...I know it normally shakes but I'm wondering if something broke and it was shaking more. DH is not handy...will probably kill me that I put this large bath mat in. Would you be safe and call a repair guy to come have a look or should I just run 1 really small wash to see what happens? I'm clueless when it comes to stuff like this...and DH is even more clueless. Sorry this is probably the dumbest question ever posted - just not sure...sort of scared to run another wash...

Re: washing machine question...do i call for repair?
it might have just been unbalanced. If you put heavy items such as towels in it can get unbalanced in the spin/rinse cycle.

Re: washing machine question...do i call for repair?
Is this a relatively new washer? I ask because my DH and I got a new washer/dryer and he didnt take out these 4 bolts in the back and the washer made a HORRIBLE noise, seriously it shook so hard it was scary. Called P.C. richard and they sent a guy over he said that were were supposed to take out those 4 bolts to allow the drum to move freely. He looked at us as if we are the dumbest people EVER lol
Once we did that it solved the problem. Just throwing it out there!
