Yes, length does matter. The longer the hair, the more it hurts! If it's too long, when they smear the wax on, the hair will pull. Definitely scissor trim to get rid of excess. It will make the experience much more "enjoyable" (if you can consider putting hot wax on your genitals enjoyable - ha!) Definitely go to the place I recommended -- Sonia's Waxing Plus!

Thank you! I was planning to go to Sonia's.

lmao, I could never! I don't even get massages because I don't like strangers' hands on me. I can't imagine getting a wax THERE of all places. Chat Icon

Last time I was still able to reach my own business and simply shaved beforehand (I was induced so I had time to prepare). I'm hoping I'll be able to reach this time around too.

LOL. I am not a fan of any waxing in that area either.
And let's be honest- when you are in the thick of labor and pushing etc- you couldn't give a rat's azz what your who-ha or bikini line look like. It could be like the wild kingdom down there and all you care about is getting that baby out.
All shame is out the window.
Plus a pregnant vagina is not pretty- all swollen and blue lipped. I'd rather have some hair to cover that nasty stuff up!

Yup exactly. You couldn't pay me to wax there. They've seen it all.

LMAO Exactly. I mean I don't want it looking like a Chia Pet down there where the doctors need to come through with hedge clippers just to find the opening, but it certainly doesn't need to be 'pretty' either. Lots of stuff going on down there. None of it attractive. lol. A bit of hair won't hurt anything Chat Icon

I've gone before without shaving for weeks and it's been fine. It's supposedly a bit more painful when your hair is longer but I always do it anyway and it turns out just fine!
