We have 2 parties right after the Due date...WWYD?

My due date is April 1st, as much as I'd like to parade my baby around and show him off to the world I'm afraid to get my LO sick.

We have 2 back to back communions, one on May 8 and one on May 15th. They are both DHs nephews, we will def be attending but I am thinking of leaving the baby with my parents bc there will be lots of people/kids at church and the restaurants. DH thinks I am being silly, WWYD?

I would want to bring the baby too but you probably don't want tons of people holding the baby when he/she is that new. Can you just bring the baby for a little while and then drop him/her off at your parents?

DD is 7 weeks right now. But it's also still flu season. Our pediatrician told us not to bring her out until she's at least 2 months old (which is in another week)... I'm actually thinking of taking her out tomorrow though because it's going to be 80 degrees here (I'm in NC). But I haven't taken her out more than to the pediatrician and twice for lunch (I kept her covered in her car seat almost the whole time) before this.

Since it's May, it's not going to be flu season anymore so it'll be up to you.

Babies get REALLY cranky when they're overtired, so you'd just have to be prepared to leave or excuse yourself if she needs to sleep. I know DD can't sleep when there's too much around to look at or people are talking a lot (she loves to be a part of the conversations!) But she does love being social and meeting new people.

Do you have to decide now? Can you see how your baby is and how you feel closer to the events to RSVP?

I understand you wanting to bring the baby and show him to the world, but it is very dangerous for a newborn to be around so many kids and in public places, since they have not recieved their shots yet... I would leave the baby home with my parents, its not worth the risk.
