my BFF's 6 month old puppy was run over on New Years Eve years ago...he ran out of the house when her aunt came over...person never stopped either...we cried together all night...so sorry you had to go through that.
ETA: If you are in an accident, you are required by the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law to stop and exchange information with the involved drivers. If the accident caused property damage only, then exchange information about your driver license, insurance, and registration with the involved drivers. If a parked vehicle or other property is damaged, or if a domestic animal is injured, you must locate the owner or contact the police.

Thank you soooo much everyone! I can't believe how incredibly hard this is. I still cry when I think about him. It's so different at home now without him. He was so close with all of my kids. He loved them like they were his puppies, lol.  He was such a talker and now it's so quiet.
Don't be so hard on yourself!! How can you not cry? I don't know you or that gorgeous boy but I'm sitting at my desk trying to hold back tears  .
I cannot imagine how hard this is for you & your family

I am so so sorry for your loss. My heart broke for you reading this. Know that you gave him a beautiful life and that you did everything you could to save him. As lucky as you and your family were to have him, he was also very lucky to have you!
